The University Trojans the host Belton Tigers softball squad by a count of 7-5 in Friday's league challenge.
Next, the Trojans meet the Ellison Eagles (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region II District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, April 15. University will attempt to upgrade on its 10-6 season record. The Eagles go into the challenge with a 0-17 record after their 19-0 league loss to Lake Belton (Temple, TX).
The Tigers (9-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Chaparral (Killeen, TX). The Bobcats go into the 5A Region II District 16 challenge with a 10-10 record. In their last challenge, Chaparral held off Waco (Waco, TX), 14-2, in a league challenge.
