The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Deer Lakes Lancers (Russellton, PA) and the visiting Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA), observed Deer Lakes's softball team get by Burrell by a tally of 7-3.

The Lancers (5-6) will now prepare for their bout against Yough (Herminie, PA). The Cougars go into the non-league bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Yough was routed by Southmoreland (Alverton, PA), 7-4, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bucs clash with the Southmoreland Scotties (Alverton, PA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 14. Burrell will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Scotties go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 12-11 league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA).
