In Wednesday's league game, the visiting Mount St. Joseph Gaels baseball team scored a tight 3-1 victory over the John Carroll Patriots.
The Gaels (7-8) will now prepare for their game against Archbishop Spalding (Severn, MD). The Cavaliers go into the MIAA A game with a 12-2 record. In their last game, Archbishop Spalding tipped St. Albans (Washington, DC), 1-0, in a non-league game.
The Patriots (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Calvert Hall (Baltimore, MD). The Cardinals come into the MIAA A contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Calvert Hall got by Archbishop Curley (Baltimore, MD), 15-11, in a league contest.
