The Mount St. Joseph Gaels nudged the visiting John Carroll Patriots baseball team by a tally of 5-4 in Friday's league bout.
The Gaels now hold a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Archbishop Spalding for a MIAA A bout on Monday, May 8. Mount St. Joseph will face a Cavaliers team coming off a 2-0 league win over Loyola Blakefield (Towson, MD). The Cavaliers record now stands at 19-5.
Next, the Patriots face the Calvert Hall Cardinals (Baltimore, MD) in a MIAA A bout, on Monday, May 8. John Carroll will attempt to advance on its 11-7 season record. The Cardinals enter the bout with a 13-12 record after their 2-1 league loss to Archbishop Curley (Baltimore, MD).
