Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains (Bascom, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Calvert Senecas (Tiffin, OH), 13-3 in a league challenge.

The Chieftains now sport a 8-0 record. They take the field next when they host Arcadia for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 13. Hopewell-Loudon will face a Redskins squad coming off a 13-12 league win over Riverdale (Mt. Blanchard, OH). The Redskins record now stands at 6-3.

With the loss, Calvert falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Senecas host St. Mary Central Catholic (Sandusky, OH) to face the Panthers in a Sandusky Bay - River challenge on Friday, April 14. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 0-7.
