The West Brunswick Trojans the host Topsail Pirates baseball team by a tally of 7-3 in Friday's league bout.
The Trojans now hold a 9-7 record. They take the field next when they host Hoggard for a Mideastern 3A/4A bout on Tuesday, April 16. West Brunswick will face a Vikings team coming off a 5-3 league win over North Brunswick (Leland, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 15-2.
Next, the Pirates face the New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) in a Mideastern 3A/4A bout, on Tuesday, April 16. Topsail will attempt to advance on its 8-7 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 9-8 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Hough (Cornelius, NC).
