The Western Guilford Hornets lacrosse team scored 14 points and held the visiting Grimsley Whirlies to 6 in the Hornets league win on Friday.

The Hornets (12-4) will now prepare for their game against Page (Greensboro, NC). The Pirates go into the Metro game with a 4-11 record. In their last game, Page was overwhelmed by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 15-4, in a non-league game.

The Whirlies (6-5) will now prepare for their game against Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC). The Tigers go into the Metro game with a 0-9 record. In their last game, Ragsdale was overwhelmed by Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC), 13-2, in a non-league game.
