North Carolina High School Softball - Corvian Community holds off Christ the King

Corvian Community Cardinals (Charlotte, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Christ the King Crusaders (Huntersville, NC), 18-16 in a league challenge.
The Cardinals now sport a 1-6 record. They take the field next when they host Mountain Island Charter for a Catawba Shores Athletic 1A/2A challenge on Monday, April 15. Corvian Community will face a Raptors squad coming off a 6-4 league win over Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Raptors record now stands at 5-4.
With the loss, Christ the King falls to 2-6 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to North Hills Christian (Salisbury, NC) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 15. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. North Hills Christian lost 20-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Oak Ridge Military Academy (Oak Ridge, NC)
