The Myrtle Hawks softball team scored 13 runs and limited the visiting Pine Grove Panthers to 3 in the Hawks league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Myrtle improves its record to 14-4 on the year. The Hawks host Ashland (Ashland, MS) to clash with the Blue Devils in a 1A Region 2 game on Saturday, April 13. The Blue Devils come into the game with a record of 1-9.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Byers Lions (Holly Springs, MS) in a 1A Region 2 game, on Monday, April 15. Pine Grove will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Lions come into the game with a 0-9 record after their 19-0 league loss to Falkner (Falkner, MS).
