The Bracken County Polar Bears softball team scored 18 runs and held the visiting Nicholas County Bluejackets to 0 in the Polar Bears non-league win on Saturday.

The Polar Bears now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Augusta for a District 39 battle on Wednesday, April 16.

With the loss, Nicholas County moves to 2-10 on the season. The Bluejackets host Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY) to confront the Lions in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 12. The Lions come into the battle with a record of 7-6. Lewis County lost 9-1 in their recent league battle against Greenup County (Greenup, KY)
