The crowd at Saturday's league bout between the Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) and the visiting Shiprock Chieftains (Shiprock, NM), observed Gallup's softball team prevail over Shiprock by a tally of 14-0.

The Bengals (9-7) will now prepare for their bout against Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Tigers go into the 4A District 1 bout with a 12-10 record. In their last bout, Aztec knocked off Kirtland Central (Kirtland, NM), 14-4, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Chieftains clash with the Miyamura Patriots (Gallup, NM) in a 4A District 1 bout, on Tuesday, April 15. Shiprock will attempt to advance on its 6-11 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 10-8 league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM).
