Spectators at Wednesday's league battle between the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets (Lakeside, AZ) and the visiting Winslow Bulldogs (Winslow, AZ), saw Blue Ridge's baseball squad edge Winslow by a count of 5-4.

Coming up next, the Yellow Jackets play the Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) in a 3A East battle, on Friday, April 15. Blue Ridge will attempt to improve on its 10-9 season record. The Longhorns go into the match with a 6-16 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to San Tan Foothills (Queen Creek, AZ).

The Bulldogs (12-9) will now prepare for their match against Snowflake (Snowflake, AZ). The Lobos go into the 3A East match with a 15-6 record. In their last match, Snowflake edged Show Low (Show Low, AZ), 6-2, in a league match.
