Spectators at Wednesday's league battle between the Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) and the visiting Holbrook Roadrunners (Holbrook, AZ), saw Payson's baseball squad edge Holbrook by a count of 8-7.

Coming up next, the Longhorns play the San Tan Foothills Sabercats (Queen Creek, AZ) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, April 14. Payson will attempt to move on its 6-15 season record. The Sabercats enter the battle with a 10-8 record after their 1-0 league win over Globe (Globe, AZ).

The Roadrunners now possess a 8-14 record. They take the field next when they travel to Show Low for a 3A East battle on Friday, April 15. Holbrook will play a Cougars squad coming off a 6-2 league loss to Snowflake (Snowflake, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 10-8.
