The Hayfield Hawks lacrosse team scored 20 points and held the visiting Annandale Atoms to 1 in the Hawks league win on Wednesday.
The Hawks (2-4) will now prepare for their game against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology (Alexandria, VA). The Colonials go into the National game with a 0-1 record. In their last game, Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology was overwhelmed by West Springfield (Springfield, VA), 13-5, in a non-league game.
The Atoms (1-5) will now prepare for their game against Falls Church (Falls Church, VA). The Jaguars go into the National game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Falls Church prevailed over Mount Vernon (Alexandria, VA), 13-4, in a league game.
