In Wednesday's league outing, the host Poquoson Islanders softball team scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Warhill Lions.
With the triumph, Poquoson moves its record to 4-1 on the year. The Islanders travel to Bruton (Williamsburg, VA) to play the Panthers in a Bay Rivers contest on Friday, April 15. In their next game, the Lions play the Grafton Clippers (Yorktown, VA) in a Bay Rivers contest, on Friday, April 15. Warhill will attempt to move on its 2-3 season record. The Clippers come into the contest with a 4-1 record after their 10-0 league loss to New Kent (New Kent, VA).
