The Warhill Lions (Williamsburg, VA) softball nipped the visiting Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA), 2-1 in Thursday's league bout.

The Lions (10-5) will now prepare for their bout against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams go into the Bay Rivers bout with a 4-13 record. In their last bout, Lafayette was edged by Poquoson (Poquoson, VA), 11-1, in a league bout.
