The Excelsior Classical Academy Flying Lions smashed the host Henderson Collegiate Pride soccer squad by a count of 5-0 in Thursday's league game.
The Flying Lions (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Oxford Prep (Oxford, NC). The Griffins go into the Triangle North 1A game with a 0-8 record. In their last game, Oxford Prep was overwhelmed by Kerr-Vance Academy (Henderson, NC), 2-0, in a non-league game.
The Pride (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Vance Charter (Henderson, NC). The Knights go into the Triangle North 1A game with a 5-5 record.
