North Carolina High School Softball - Mount Airy falls to Starmount

April 13, 2023: Boonville, NC 27011

In Thursday's league outing, the host Starmount Rams softball team scored a nice 21-1 win over the Mount Airy Granite Bears.

Coming up next, the Rams battle the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) in a Northwest 1A outing, on Tuesday, April 18. Starmount will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Buckin' Elks enter the outing with a 7-6 record after their 5-3 non-league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC).

The Granite Bears (4-10) will now prepare for their outing against East Wilkes (Ronda, NC). The Cardinals enter the Northwest 1A outing with a 15-3 record. In their last outing, East Wilkes ran past Lake Norman (Mooresville, NC), 12-11, in a non-league outing.
