The Winfield Pirates (Winfield, AL) softball the visiting South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL), 3-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Pirates (26-3) will now prepare for their bout against Hamilton (Hamilton, AL). The Aggies go into the non-league bout with a 25-6 record. In their last bout, Hamilton Tuscaloosa County (Northport, AL), 1-1, in a non-league bout.
The Stallions now possess a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Pickens County for a 1A Area 8 bout on Monday, April 15. South Lamar will confront a Tornadoes squad coming off a 20-2 non-league loss to Columbia (Huntsville, AL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 4-11.
