New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC), 12-2 in a league test.

With the win, New Hanover upgrades its record to 13-3 on the season. The Wildcats host Laney (Wilmington, NC) to battle the Buccaneers in a Mideastern 3A/4A test on Tuesday, April 19. The Buccaneers come into the test with a record of 9-5. Laney lost 10-1 in their recent league test against South Brunswick (Southport, NC)

With the defeat, North Brunswick falls to 8-8 on the season. The Scorpions travel to East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC) to battle the Gators in a non-league test on Monday, April 18. The Gators come into the test with a record of 5-8. East Columbus won 15-0 in their recent league test against Pender (Burgaw, NC)
