Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Bob Jones Patriots (Madison, AL), 4-2 in a league challenge.

The Black Bears now sport a 35-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Florence for a 7A Area 8 challenge on Monday, April 18. Austin will face a Falcons squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Lauderdale County (Rogersville, AL). The Falcons record now stands at 2-20.

With the loss, Bob Jones falls to 17-7 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Hartselle (Hartselle, AL) to face the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 19. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 35-6.
