Texas High School Softball - Coronado falls to Monterey

In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Monterey Plainsmen softball team scored a nice 22-7 win over the Coronado Mustangs.
Coming up next, the Plainsmen battle the Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region I District 4 outing, on Tuesday, April 19. Monterey will attempt to upgrade on its 24-4 season record. The Pirates enter the outing with a 5-7 record after their 6-3 league loss to Wylie (Abilene, TX).
The Mustangs (10-9) will now prepare for their outing against Cooper (Abilene, TX). The Cougars enter the 5A Region I District 4 outing with a 7-7 record. In their last outing, Cooper was routed by Monterey (Lubbock, TX), 5-2, in a league outing.
