Ledyard Colonels (Ledyard, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT), 17-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Colonels now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Killingly for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. Ledyard will battle a Redmen squad coming off a 13-9 league win over Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT). The Redmen record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Woodstock Academy falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Centaurs travel to Griswold (Griswold, CT) to battle the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Wolverines enter the challenge with a record of 1-2. Griswold won 17-5 in their recent league challenge against Windham (Willimantic, CT)
