The Pirates enter the outing with a 5-16 record after their 8-2 league loss to Marshall (Marshall, TX).

The Mavericks (11-16) will now prepare for their outing against Hallsville (Hallsville, TX). The Bobcats enter the 5A Region II District 15 outing with a 15-6 record.
