Abilene Eagles (Abilene, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX), 13-0 in a league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 24-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cooper for a 5A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Abilene will face a Pirates squad coming off a 11-8 non-league loss to Amarillo (Amarillo, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Coronado falls to 7-8 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Wylie (Abilene, TX) to face the Bulldogs in a 5A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 23-6. Wylie won 17-2 in their recent league challenge against Lubbock (Lubbock, TX)
