Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mohawk Area Warriors (Bessemer, PA), 8-7 in a league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Quaker Valley for a WPIAL 3A 2 challenge on Monday, April 17. Hopewell will face a Quakers squad coming off a 17-0 league loss to Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA). The Quakers record now stands at 1-2.

The Warriors now sport a 4-3 record. They play next when they host Ellwood City for a WPIAL 3A 2 battle on Monday, April 24.
