Ohio High School Softball - Unioto gets by Zane Trace

The Unioto Shermans nipped the visiting Zane Trace Pioneers softball squad by a final score of 8-7 in Friday's league battle.

The Shermans (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Westfall (Williamsport, OH). The Mustangs go into the Scioto Valley battle with a 4-2 record. In their last battle, Westfall held off Wellston (Wellston, OH), 7-5, in a non-league battle.

The Pioneers now possess a 4-1 record. They play next when they host Paint Valley for a Scioto Valley battle on Monday, April 17. Zane Trace will confront a Bearcats squad coming off a 18-5 non-league win over McClain (Greenfield, OH). The Bearcats record now stands at 4-8.
