The Zane Trace Pioneers the visiting Unioto Shermans softball squad by a count of 5-3 in Thursday's league battle.

The Pioneers (10-1) will now prepare for their battle against Westfall (Williamsport, OH). The Mustangs go into the Scioto Valley battle with a 7-9 record. In their last battle, Westfall by Unioto (Chillicothe, OH), 5-4, in a league battle.

The Shermans now sport a 20-2 record. They play next when they travel to Adena for a Scioto Valley battle on Friday, May 5.
