The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Lamar County Bulldogs (Vernon, AL) and the host South Lamar Stallions (Millport, AL), observed Lamar County's softball team get by South Lamar by a tally of 11-9.

The Bulldogs (17-16) will now prepare for their bout against Pickens Academy (Carrollton, AL). The Pirates go into the non-league bout with a 7-11 record. In their last bout, Pickens Academy by Fayette County (Fayette, AL), 7-3, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Stallions clash with the Pickens County Tornadoes (Reform, AL) in a 1A Area 9 bout, on Tuesday, April 15. South Lamar will attempt to advance on its 13-13 season record. The Tornadoes go into the bout with a 8-6 record after their 12-4 non-league win over Aliceville (Aliceville, AL).
