The Union Local Jets softball squad (Belmont, OH), was routed 17-0 in Monday's non-league contest with the visiting Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH)

With the triumph, Martins Ferry improves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Purple Riders travel to Bellaire (Bellaire, OH) to face the Big Reds in a Buckeye 8 contest on Tuesday, April 15. The Big Reds enter the contest with a record of 5-3. Bellaire won 11-1 in their recent non-league contest against East Liverpool (East Liverpool, OH)
