Ohio High School Softball - Martins Ferry bounces Union Local

The Martins Ferry Purple Riders (Martins Ferry, OH) softball routed the host Union Local Jets (Belmont, OH), 11-4 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Purple Riders now sport a 19-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wheeling Central Catholic for a non-league outing on Saturday, May 3. Martins Ferry will encounter a Maroon Knights team coming off a 5-3 non-league loss to University (Morgantown, WV). The Maroon Knights record now stands at 8-5.

With the loss, Union Local moves to 14-8 on the season. The Jets host Barnesville (Barnesville, OH) to encounter the Shamrocks in a non-league outing on Monday, May 5. The Shamrocks come into the outing with a record of 15-3.
