California High School Baseball - Rio Mesa sneaks past Oxnard

Spectators at Friday's league battle between the Rio Mesa Spartans (Oxnard, CA) and the host Oxnard Yellowjackets (Oxnard, CA), saw Rio Mesa's baseball squad edge Oxnard by a count of 2-1.

Coming up next, the Spartans play the Oaks Christian Lions (Westlake Village, CA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, April 16. Rio Mesa will attempt to move on its 10-12 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 14-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Agoura (Agoura, CA).

The Yellowjackets now possess a 7-11 record. They take the field next when they host Pacifica for a Pacific View battle on Tuesday, April 19. Oxnard will play a Tritons squad coming off a 4-1 league win over Buena (Ventura, CA). The Tritons record now stands at 16-8.
