Normal University Pioneers (Normal, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the host MacArthur Generals (Decatur, IL), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Pioneers now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tremont for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. Normal University will battle a Turks squad coming off a 12-1 league win over Tri-Valley (Downs, IL). The Turks record now stands at 7-1.

With the loss, MacArthur falls to 2-11 on the campaign. The Generals host Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL) to battle the Raiders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 16. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Central A & M won 7-3 in their recent league challenge against Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IL)
