Manzano Monarchs (Albuquerque, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Santa Fe Demons (Santa Fe, NM), 22-14 in a league challenge.

The Monarchs now own a 10-12 record. They take the field next when they host Albuquerque for a 5A District 5 challenge on Thursday, April 20. Manzano will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Bulldogs record now stands at 17-5.

With the loss, Santa Fe falls to 4-14 on the campaign. The Demons host Santa Fe Indian (Santa Fe, NM) to battle the Braves in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 17. The Braves enter the challenge with a record of 15-0. Santa Fe Indian won 18-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Grants (Grants, NM)
