High School Softball - Anson falls to Varsity Opponent

In Monday's non-league outing, the host Varsity Opponent softball team scored a nice 19-9 win over the Anson Bearcats.

Coming up next, the battle the South Panola Tigers (Batesville, MS) in a 6A Region 1 outing, on Tuesday, April 16. Varsity Opponent will attempt to upgrade on its 24-70 season record. The Tigers enter the outing with a 21-3 record after their 13-0 league win over Lake Cormorant (Lake Cormorant, MS).

The Bearcats (2-14) will now prepare for their outing against Monroe (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks enter the Rocky River 2A/3A outing with a 0-11 record. In their last outing, Monroe was routed by Piedmont (Monroe, NC), 19-0, in a league outing.
