Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Firelands Falcons (Oberlin, OH), 7-4 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Oberlin for a Lorain County 8 challenge on Thursday, April 18.

With the loss, Firelands falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Falcons host Keystone (La Grange, OH) to face the Wildcats in a Lorain County 8 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 4-4. Keystone won 12-1 in their recent league challenge against Columbia (Columbia Station, OH)
