Kentucky High School Softball - Spencer County gets by Nelson County

The Spencer County Bears nipped the host Nelson County Cardinals softball squad by a final score of 6-5 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Bears (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Fairdale (Fairdale, KY). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Fairdale held off Whitefield Academy (Louisville, KY), 11-7, in a non-league battle.
The Cardinals now possess a 8-5 record. They play next when they travel to Thomas Nelson for a District 19 battle on Monday, April 22. Nelson County will confront a Generals squad coming off a 21-17 league win over Bardstown (Bardstown, KY). The Generals record now stands at 6-5.
