North Carolina High School Softball - Ashe County South Caldwell

April 15, 2025: West Jefferson, NC 28694

South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), 11-6 in a league game.

With the triumph, South Caldwell upgrades its record to 18-2 on the year. The Spartans host West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC) to play the Falcons in a non-league game on Wednesday, April 16. The Falcons enter the game with a record of 14-2. West Rowan won 4-2 in their recent league game against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC)

The Huskies now own a 9-8 record. They play next when they travel to Watauga for a Northwestern 3A/4A game on Thursday, April 17. Ashe County will play a Pioneers squad coming off a 14-11 league loss to Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Pioneers record now stands at 3-13.
