Arkansas High School Softball - Palestine-Wheatley gets by Cross County

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Palestine-Wheatley Patriots (Palestine, AR) and the visiting Cross County Thunderbirds (Cherry Valley, AR), observed Palestine-Wheatley's softball team get by Cross County by a tally of 9-8.
The Patriots (10-6) will now prepare for their bout against West Memphis (West Memphis, AR). The Blue Devils go into the non-league bout with a 2-15 record. In their last bout, West Memphis was nipped by Searcy (Searcy, AR), 17-0, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Thunderbirds battle the Rector Cougars (Rector, AR) in a 2A Region 3 bout, on Wednesday, April 16. Cross County will attempt to advance on its 8-10 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 16-0 league win over Corning (Corning, AR).
