North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS) backers left the game pleased Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Myrtle Hawks (Myrtle, MS), 10-7 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, North Pontotoc upgrades its record to 15-8 on the year. The Vikings travel to Tupelo (Tupelo, MS) to play the Golden Wave in a non-league game on Thursday, April 17. The Golden Wave enter the game with a record of 8-10. Tupelo lost 14-4 in their recent league game against Clinton (Clinton, MS)

The Hawks now own a 18-5 record.
