Mississippi High School Softball - North Pontotoc sneaks past Myrtle

The North Pontotoc Vikings softball team scored 12 runs and held the host Myrtle Hawks to 11 in the Vikings non-league win on Friday.
The Vikings now sport a 12-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ingomar for a non-league battle on Friday, April 4. North Pontotoc will encounter a Falcons team coming off a 13-0 league win over Water Valley (Water Valley, MS). The Falcons record now stands at 6-5.
With the loss, Myrtle moves to 10-3 on the season. The Hawks travel to Pine Grove (Ripley, MS) to encounter the Panthers in a 1A Region 2 battle on Monday, April 7. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 12-10. Pine Grove won 13-3 in their recent league battle against Jumpertown (Booneville, MS)
