The Patrick Henry Patriots edged the visiting Glenvar Highlanders softball squad by a count of 8-7 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Patriots play the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) in a River Ridge challenge, on Friday, April 17. Patrick Henry will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Spartans enter the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 12-3 league loss to Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA).
The Highlanders (1-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars enter the Three Rivers challenge with a 8-3 record. In their last challenge, Patrick County edged Chatham (Chatham, VA), 12-4, in a non-league challenge.
