The Glenvar Highlanders triumphed over the visiting Patrick Henry Patriots softball squad by a count of 6-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Highlanders play the Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Friday, April 24. Glenvar will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Buffaloes enter the challenge with a 8-1 record after their 13-1 league win over Radford (Radford, VA).

The Patriots (1-9) will now prepare for their challenge against James River (Buchanan, VA). The Knights enter the non-league challenge with a 9-2 record. In their last challenge, James River was routed by Patrick County (Stuart, VA), 9-5, in a league challenge.
