In Saturday's league contest, the Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL) softball team held off the visiting Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL), by a margin of 8-7.
With the triumph, Quincy moves its record to 2-8 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Rock Island (Rock Island, IL) to play the Rocks in a Western Big 6 contest on Saturday, April 16. The Rocks come into the contest with a record of 7-3. Rock Island lost 6-5 in their recent non-league contest against Metamora (Metamora, IL)
In their next game, the Maple Leafs play the Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 18. Geneseo will attempt to move on its 7-7 season record. The Rockets come into the contest with a 13-0 record after their 9-1 non-league win over Moline (Moline, IL).
