Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Geneseo Maple Leafs (Geneseo, IL) and the visiting Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL), witnessed Geneseo's softball squad tip Quincy by a count of 10-6.

The Maple Leafs now sport a 4-4 record. They play next when they host Newark for a non-league match on Saturday, April 9. Geneseo will face a Norsemen squad coming off a 12-2 non-league win over Westmont (Westmont, IL). The Norsemen record now stands at 10-2.

With the loss, Quincy moves to 1-4 on the season. The Blue devils travel to Sterling (Sterling, IL) to face the Golden Warriors in a Western Big 6 match on Thursday, April 7. The Golden Warriors go into the match with a record of 2-1. Sterling lost 4-3 in their recent non-league match against Marengo (Marengo, IL)
