The South Brunswick Cougars baseball team scored 4 runs and limited the host Ashley Screaming Eagle to 3 in the Cougars league victory on Tuesday.
The Cougars (9-8) will now prepare for their match against Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers go into the Mideastern 3A/4A match with a 5-10 record. In their last match, Laney edged North Brunswick (Leland, NC), 5-3, in a league match.
The Screaming Eagle (14-3) will now prepare for their match against Wilmington Christian Academy (Wilmington, NC). The Patriots go into the non-league match with a 8-5 record. In their last match, Wilmington Christian Academy edged East Columbus (Lake Waccamaw, NC), 17-7, in a non-league match.
