The St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans got by the host South Plainfield Tigers softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Tuesday's league battle.

The Trojans (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ). The Hawks go into the non-league battle with a 0-7 record. In their last battle, J.P. Stevens was edged by Old Bridge (Old Bridge, NJ), 7-1, in a league battle.

The Tigers now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Metuchen for a GMC - Red outing on Thursday, April 18. South Plainfield will encounter a Bulldogs team coming off a 9-8 non-league loss to Spotswood (Spotswood, NJ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.
