The South Plainfield Tigers got by the host St. Thomas Aquinas Trojans softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Friday's league battle.

The Tigers (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against J.P. Stevens (Edison, NJ). The Hawks go into the non-league battle with a 2-11 record. In their last battle, J.P. Stevens nudged Colonia (Colonia, NJ), 13-10, in a non-league battle.

The Trojans now sport a 8-5 record. They play next when they host South Brunswick for a GMC - Red battle on Saturday, April 27. St. Thomas Aquinas will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 9-6 non-league win over North Brunswick (North Brunswick, NJ). The Vikings record now stands at 5-8.
