In Wednesday's non-league test, the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) softball squad overwhelmed the host North Iredell Raiders (Olin, NC), by a tally of 22-7.

Next, the Huskies clash with the Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC) in a test, on Thursday, April 17. Ashe County will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Pioneers go into the test with a 1-9 record after their 18-4 non-league win over Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).

The Raiders (1-6) will now prepare for their test against Starmount (Boonville, NC). The Rams go into the non-league test with a 5-2 record. In their last test, Starmount prevailed over North Stokes (Danbury, NC), 16-1, in a non-league test.
