The crowd at Monday's league test between the Owen Warhorses (Black Mountain, NC) and the host Avery County Vikings (Newland, NC), saw Owen's soccer squad triumph over Avery County by a margin of 6-1.

The Warhorses now sport a 6-3 record. They play next when they host Madison for a Western Highlands 1A/2A test on Wednesday, April 19. Owen will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Draughn (Valdese, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 8-1.

With the loss, Avery County drops to 2-8 on the season. The Vikings travel to Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to meet the Mountaineers in a Western Highlands 1A/2A test on Wednesday, April 19. The Mountaineers come into the test with a record of 0-8. Mitchell lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC)
